David Pastrnak
Pastrnak is having a career season in Boston. The 22 year old has 62 points in 52 games this year, and is just 19 points shy of breaking his previous record of 80 points. Pastrnak is creating at an unbelievable rate, averaging more than a point per game as far this season. Pastrnak is the NHL player of the week this week, as picked by Under The Lights here is why…
In the last 3 games Pastrnak has 3 goals and 3 assists. Even more important is the fact that those 6 points have come against pretty tough competition. David blazed a goal and 2 assists against the Winnipeg Jets, who currently sit a top the central division. Then he put up 2 goals against the Philadelphia Flyers who happened to be won a 7 game win streak, and he assisted in a win against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Caps.
Pastrnak has been competing against high level of competition all season long, and currently leads the Boston Bruins in bot goals and points. Pastrnak is going to need to keep pushing with the Bruins during the last 30 games of the season as Boston currently sits amid the wild card teams for this season.
The NHL player of the month of January will be unveiled later this week...
