Power Struggle

The Chicago Blackhawks have had some weak points in their play this season, whether it be goaltending or depth the biggest question mark is the Power Play. The Blackhawks have been on the power play 41 times this season thus far. They only have 5 power play goals to show for it.
This summer it was announced that the Hawks switched their PP to a 1-3-1 set up, similar to the Washington Capitals, the Hawks have a lot of hockey left to play but fixing their power play is essential. The Blackhawks assistant coaches Ulf Samuelsson and Don Granato are charged with fixing the PP.
Our best guess for fixing the PP would be to put someone in front of the goalie, and have Saad and Toews rush the puck with the net. The Hawks have tried to have the “pretty” goal on the Power Play, they need to simplify their game and take as many shots at the net as they can.
