Players to Watch :
Sergei Bobrovsky:
The 2 time vexing winner will need to stand on his head if he is going to give up less than 3 goals in this game.
Additions:
Columbus bolstered the team at the trade deadline by adding Matt Duchene and Ryan Dzingel. If Columbus wants to win game 1 they will need those additions to play a big role on the Blue Jackets second and third line.
Nikita Kucherov:
Kucherov was averaging well over a point per game during the season. That was the season, this is the playoffs Kucherov only has 59 points in playoff action accords his 4 years of NHL playoff experience. Producing in the playoffs is what earns players hall of fame status.
Steven Stamkos:
Steven Stamkos, the captain to the best team in the NHL, needs to be there in these next 2 months. If Tampa wants to keep the energy alive they will need their captain. Stamkos took a step behind Nikita Kucherov this season, Stamkos put up great points and had a great year, but he needs to be the guy this spring for the Bolts.
X Factor : Physical Play
Few Teams have been able to play with Tampa Bay this year, the team only lost 16 games in all. Expec Columbus to play a heavy hitting speed game against the skilled Lightning.
Disclaimer :
Tampa Bay is arguably the best hockey team in a long time, this series could be seriously one sided, we will not know till puck drop at 6...
