The NHL had a very crazy week of action both on and off the ice. The Player Of The Week could go to any number of players, like Nathan MacKinnon, or Duncan Keith only because he showed emotion in a Blackhawks uniform something the entire team is incapable of as they are shocked night in and night out. The real player of the week is Mikko Rantanen.
Nikki Rantanen of the Colorado Avalanche is on fire. The 22 year old leads the league in points (45) and assists (34) so far this season. In Rantanen‘s last five games he has 9 points, and is currently riding a 8 game point streak. Rantanen is a big reason that Colorado record in the last 11 games is 9-0-2 in 10 out of those 11 games Rantanen has been inked on the score sheet in some way shape or form whether it be a goal or a assist, or multiple.

Rantanen is a big reason that Colorado is 16-6-5, and is playing with some pretty talented players. As of November 27th the line of Gabriel Landeskog, Nathan Mackinnon, and Mikko Rantanen had a combined 103 points so far this season. That line is the reason Colorado is so high in our Power Rankings this week.
