The Chicago Bears face off against the New York Giants on Sunday trying to move to a 9-3 record. Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky will be watching the game from the sideline due to a shoulder injury. Although Mitch has been reported to be practicing this week Coach Nagy and company have no reason to play the young quarterback, opting for another week of rest before playing the Rams Vikings and Packers, all of which Bears fans will want a healthy Trubisky. So against the 3-8 Giants the Bears will rely on Chase Daniels again.

Against the Lions on Thanksgiving Daniels played great football passing for 230 yards with 0 interceptions. Daniels threw mostly short passes, and his most important stat was the 0 interceptions. The Bears do not need Daniels to make great plays, they just need him to not make bad plays that cost them turn overs. The Bears can rely on their defense to win this game, but offensively maybe they can fix one problem.
Chicago’s rushing yards is ranked 15th in rushing yards. Now that is not a horrible stat but it can be improved. Chicago is basically playing playoff level talent after this Sunday and improving the run game would be a central component to making a deep push in the playoffs. Chicago boasts one of the best defensive teams in the league, only one team has less points against then the Bears (Ravens have 198 points against Bears have 211).
Khalil Mack and company have been killing it on the defensive side and they will try to do it again this week against the struggling Giants. New York Giants Tackle Chad Wheeler is most likely going to be matched up against Mack in the game. Wheeler’s success in keeping Mack out will determine how well the Giants offense does. When asked about facing off against Mack Wheeler said
Mack is a good player. Obviously you’ve got to bring your ‘A’ game.
Kickoff is noon for what should be a building block game for the Bears.
